Combined National Day & Mid-Autumn Holiday at TsianFan: Post-Holiday Sharing Fosters Family-Like Camaraderie

To celebrate China’s National Day (October 1) and the Mid-Autumn Festival—two significant traditional festivals that coincided closely this year—TsianFan Company arranged a holiday for employees from October 1 to 6, with work resuming on October 7. On the first day back, the office was filled with warmth as colleagues brought back special treats to share: pomelos from their hometown in Fujian, homemade salted egg yolk pastries, and even wedding candies from a newly married team member. This post-holiday sharing not only highlighted the “colleagues as family” bond among the team but also vividly embodied TsianFan’s human-centered corporate culture and harmonious workplace atmosphere.

As employees returned to work on October 7, the company’s pantry and lounge areas quickly transformed into a “mini sharing hub.” A colleague hailing from Fujian brought bags of fresh local pomelos—plump, aromatic, and carefully packed in breathable paper to preserve their juiciness and sweet flavor. “Fujian pomelos are famous for their thin rind and tender flesh; they’re a must-have during the Mid-Autumn Festival back home, symbolizing ‘prosperity’ and ‘family reunion,’” they explained while skillfully peeling the pomelo, splitting the segments, and passing them to nearby teammates. The sweet, slightly tangy taste of the Fujian pomelo spread quickly, lighting up everyone’s faces with smiles.

Another colleague, who enjoys baking in their spare time, brought several boxes of homemade salted egg yolk pastries—golden, flaky, and filled with a rich, creamy salted egg yolk center. “I spent two afternoons making these during the holiday, just thinking about sharing them with all of you,” they said. Colleagues gathered around to taste the pastries, praising the crispy, buttery crust and the perfect balance of sweet (from the red bean paste) and savory (from the salted egg yolk) in the filling. “These taste even better than store-bought ones—you can really feel the care put into every bite,” commented a member of the design team.

Adding more joy to the day, a newly married colleague brought elegant red boxes of wedding candies, eager to share the happiness of their recent marriage with the team. “This holiday was extra special for me because I held my wedding. I wanted to share this joy with my ‘work family’ too,” they shared. As everyone accepted the candies—filled with chocolate, nut candies, and traditional red dates—and offered their heartfelt congratulations, the office was filled with cheerful chatter and warm wishes.

This post-holiday sharing was more than just an exchange of food—it was a reflection of the close, family-like relationships fostered at TsianFan. Colleagues didn’t just pass around treats; they also shared stories from their holidays: the Fujian native talked about helping their family harvest pomelos in the orchard, others mentioned cozy Mid-Autumn dinners with loved ones, and the newly married colleague even showed photos from their wedding. These conversations turned the first workday after the holiday into a warm gathering, easing the transition back to work and deepening the emotional connection among the team.

A representative from TsianFan’s HR department noted, “Offering a combined holiday for National Day and the Mid-Autumn Festival is our way of honoring traditional festivals and allowing employees to spend quality time with their families. The post-holiday sharing, however, is a natural expression of our corporate culture—we have always promoted a ‘workplace as family’ atmosphere, where colleagues support and care for one another. Seeing everyone take the initiative to bring treats and celebrate together makes us proud of the warm community we’ve built.”

Employees also expressed their appreciation for the company’s holiday arrangement and the post-holiday vibe. “Having six days off let me go back to my hometown in Jiangxi to visit my parents, which meant a lot to me,” said an employee from the production team. “And coming back to work to taste the delicious Fujian pomelo and homemade pastries with everyone? It feels like I’m returning to another family. This kind of warmth is what makes TsianFan so special.”
